Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to make her high-voltage comeback in Bollywood with
Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa but the Bollywood diva says she does not understand the hue and cry about it. In fact, despite her five-year absence from films, the actor says she never felt she was absent from Bollywood.
The actor was the showstopper at a fashion event in Delhi on Sunday where she walked the ramp after a long time.
The 41-year-old actor's last movie outing was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish in 2010. Aishwarya says she is enjoying being in front of the camera again and looking forward to the release of Jazbaa, which also stars Shabana Azmi, Irrfan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Jackie Shroff.
"So far the experience has been great. Sanjay has been so nice. The whole cast -- Irrfan, Shabana ji, Chandan, Jaggu Dada (Jackie) -- everyone has been great. I am glad to be working with them. I do not feel like there has been any gap. I am really enjoying," Aishwarya said. The actor also said that she never felt she had left Bollywood ever.
The film, which is set to release on October 9, is a remake of the 2007 South Korean movie, Seven Days. The star was in Delhi on Sunday to walk the ramp for ace designer Manish Malhotra's show, The Empress Story, at the just concluded Amazon India Couture Week.
Despite being unwell, the former model looked resplendent in a chocolate brown floor length gown. The show was also attended by her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan and other B-Town stars like Azmi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kriti Sanon, among others.
"It is great to be in Delhi and be cheered on by so many industry friends, colleagues and my mother-in-law," she said.
